Apart from lipids...is there anything that should not be infused thru a PALL posidyne NEO FILTER?
Basic question, I know, but I'm stuck here on an isolated island with no one to ask!

Sorry, I wished I could be of any help but we do not use this filter.
But (offtopic :)), I get curious about the isolated island?!

oh yes...we are a small NICU (3 beds) on the island of Guernsey...about 25km off the coast of Normandy. We can't hold sick babies here (the ones needing TPN or surgery), so we medivac them to the UK.

We only infuse hydrous solution about theses filters. With oily, milky and bloody solution you block the filter.

Since your filter is a 0.2 micron filter some substances will not pass through it ( for example albumin, liposomal amphotericiin B, intralipid).
If you are connecting your intralipid to your Dex/AA solution and infusing them together the you will have to use a larger bore filter...which is not advisable....which is the reason it is safer to seperate your Dex/AA and intralipid infusions.
